Before you choose a provider

Six details worth checking before signing up for an online program.

01 — Clinical credentials

Confirm that the prescribing clinician is licensed to practice in your state. Find out how your medical history is assessed and how follow-up care is provided.

02 — Exact medication

Request the exact medication name, approval status and dispensing pharmacy. Understand whether you are being offered a brand-name or compounded medicine.

03 — Complete cost

Check the total initial payment, renewal price, minimum term, laboratory fees, delivery and dose-related charges. Keep a copy of the terms you accept.

04 — Ongoing support

Ask how to contact a clinician, what response times to expect, and how side effects and dose changes are handled.

05 — Cancellation and refunds

Read the cancellation deadline, renewal process and refund rules, including what happens if a clinician decides treatment is unsuitable.

06 — Safety information

Read the prescribing information and discuss contraindications and interactions with your clinician. Know whom to contact if you have a concerning symptom.
